The extension of the existing Hotel Splendide Royal, facing the lugano lake, aims to improve the hotel facilities and the erection of an high-end residential tower of serviced apartments. The parameter lines together with the brief give life to a simple volume made up of four elements: three towers raising from a common basement, two for additional hotel rooms and one with apartments. The three towers are  supported with an expressed trellis structure which allow them to cantiliver over the plinth.

The original building hosting 48 suites stands proud in the middle of the site, over the street level. The residential block with the main entrance at low level, sits on an automatic carpak and is comprehensive of 23 units for a total of six different typologies. The basement includes drop-off, distribution and services implementing the hotel facilities like offices, new kitchens, two conference rooms, gym, wellness & spa  area, everything available also for the residences.
