Chesa Carmen is located in St. Moritz in
the quiet town of Champfer, overlooking
the beautiful mountains of Corvatsch. Its
location offers at the same time the privacy
of the small engadine village as well as the proximity to the center of St. Moritz.
The project is a perfect blend between contemporary
architecture and the warmth of a traditional holiday home.
The use of
traditional materials such as stone and
wood create a pure volume where
the facades resemble an abstract painting
articulated by sharp and precise
edges. Large loggias open towards the landscapea of Corvatsch. The
apartment inside refers to the tradition of the alpine dwelling; from flooring to
kitchen cabinets, everything is clad in wood to provide the warmth that you
look for in a mountain home.
